The Faculty of Fine Arts, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, invites you to explore a new definition of ‘sea salt’: when the body creates rhythm and movement with a breathing sculpture. Experience the phenomenon of “Kluea Samut: Live Arts and Performance” at The Jim Thompson Art Center.

If ‘salt’ is a crystal of time bestowed by nature upon humanity, “Kluea Samut: Live Arts and Performance” is the fusion of those crystals with breath and body to explore a cultural ecosystem moving to the rhythm of the modern world. On June 6-7, 2026, the Jim Thompson Art Center will become a space for interaction between Installation Art and Performing Arts, questioning the fragile yet powerful relationship between humans and the salt-farming way of life.
The core of this exhibition is the creation of “Living Sculpture” that deconstructs the boundaries between visual arts and performing arts, through the collaboration of three artists:
• Wanasak Padungsetthakit (Creative Director): Leading viewers back to explore the cultural ecosystem of the salt fields in Samut Songkhram Province through the lens of contemporary art, highlighting a “cycle” that is not just a matter of nature. But it's a matter of spirit and survival.
• Teerapol Srisang (Sculptor & Installation Artist): Conveys the relationship between humans and salt through metal sculptures woven with a unique technique, like the physical structure of an ecosystem waiting to be replenished.
• Kawin Pichitkul (Choreographer & Performer): Transforms empty space into movement interpreting the lives of people in relation to nature, salt farms, and science, where the body is not just a performer but a part of a moving sculpture.
