The Faculty of Fine Arts, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, is expanding its international academic collaboration network by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Italian Institute of Fashion Management in Milan, Italy. Professor Nicola Guerini, Dean and Director of the Italian Institute of Fashion Management, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ekaphong Inkeua, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanoknat Mayuso, Vice Dean for Administration, and Assoc. Prof. Supawadee Chuisukha, lecturer in Fashion Design, participated in an exclusive visit to leading fashion brands in Italy. This visit aimed to provide in-depth perspectives on the design processes, production, and management strategies of international brands, encompassing both established, legendary brands and emerging designers making significant influence in the global fashion industry.

The highlights of the visit included:

- Sartorialità Contemporanea – PAL ZILERI: Learning about contemporary tailoring concepts that blend traditional craftsmanship with innovative textiles and modern garment structures.

- Emerging Designers: From Leathergoods to Jewellery – So-Le Studio: Exploring the world of emerging designers, from leather goods creation to jewelry, along with their initial branding concepts.

- Defining Luxury: Brand & Stylistic Identity – GIORGIO ARMANI: Delving into the definition of “luxury” through an analysis of brand identity, design language, and global image strategies – a particularly significant and special part of the trip.

- Embroidery, Poetic Narrative & Culture – Antonio Marras: Learning how embroidery is used as an artistic language to tell stories of culture, memory, and poetry through artistic fashion design.

Each brand visit provided in-depth knowledge in technical aspects, creative processes, and business concepts, reflecting the intention of both parties to develop collaboration in education and the fashion industry in the near future.
