On March 25-26, 2026, the Faculty of Fine Arts organized a project to enhance the practical application of solar cells in daily life for communities, aiming to improve quality of life through sustainable social engineering. The project involved on-site education for the community, with Assistant Professor Wisut Siripornnopakhun, a lecturer in the Digital Design and Innovation program, serving as the speaker. He provided knowledge on “Basic Applications of Solar Cells in Daily Life,” including workshops on “Fundamentals of Home Solar Cell Systems and Practical Applications,” a brainstorming workshop on “DIY Solar Cells for Home: Building a Small Lighting System,” and a workshop on “Designing Solar Lighting for Homes: Energy-Saving and Practical.” The event took place at the Sufficiency Economy Learning Center in Bang Sakae Subdistrict, Bang Khon Thi District, Samut Songkhram Province.

The transfer of knowledge and development of skills in solar energy, including the selection and design of appropriate solar cell systems, enables people to apply this knowledge in their daily lives. This aligns with SDG 4: Quality Education, promoting the use of clean energy from sunlight and reducing the reliance on fossil fuels for electricity generation. This initiative supports the use of renewable energy in households and communities, aligning with SDG 7, Affordable and Clean Energy, leading to livable and sustainable communities. It also aligns with SDG 11, Sustainable Cities and Communities, promoting the application of solar lighting and technology in public areas and communities to enhance safety, reduce energy costs, and improve the quality of life for citizens. Furthermore, it aligns with SDG 13, Climate Action, as communities can reduce greenhouse gas emissions through the use of renewable energy and raise awareness of efficient and environmentally friendly energy use.
