On June 12, 2026, the Faculty of Fine Arts organized a project to enhance skills in applying solar cells in daily life, reaching communities to improve quality of life through sustainable social engineering processes. Assistant Professor Wisut Siripornnopakhun, a lecturer in the Digital Design and Innovation program, served as the speaker, providing knowledge on “Basic Guidelines for Designing Solar-Powered Appliances for Daily Life.” The project included workshops: small group brainstorming on “Guidelines for Designing Small-Scale Lighting Systems DIY” and “Guidelines for Designing Solar Cells for Homes and Their Practical Applications,” held at the Sufficiency Economy Learning Center in Bang Sakae Subdistrict, Bang Khon Thi District, Samut Songkhram Province.

The transfer of knowledge and development of skills in solar energy, including the selection and design of appropriate solar cell systems, enabling people to apply this knowledge in their daily lives, aligns with SDG 4: Quality Education, promoting the use of clean energy from sunlight and reducing the use of fossil fuel-based electricity in communities. This initiative supports the use of renewable energy in households and communities, aligning with SDG 7, Affordable and Clean Energy, leading to livable and sustainable communities. It also aligns with SDG 11, Sustainable Cities and Communities, promoting the application of solar lighting and technology in public areas and communities to enhance safety, reduce energy costs, and improve the quality of life for citizens. Furthermore, it aligns with SDG 13, Climate Action, as communities can reduce greenhouse gas emissions through the use of renewable energy and raise awareness of efficient and environmentally friendly energy use.
