On 18 January
2025, The Faculty of Fine and Applied
Arts organized a project to create an
image and develop products to promote
sales in communities around Samsen Road,
Bangkok, at the St. Francis Xavier
Church Community (Samsen Vietnamese
Village Community). The objective is to
develop quality of life. It is a
training activity for making aromatic
products with lecturers from Visual
Communication Design Department as
speaker. The activity shares knowledge
about the use of herbs. It makes the
training project align with the 3
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as
follows:
- Goal 1: End poverty in
all forms everywhere. Knowledge about
product development, including product
designs, is shared to generate income
and promote households to have stable
financial status, which will help reduce
poverty sustainably in the long
term.
- Goal 8: Promote
sustainable economic growth by
developing products or souvenirs that
are attractive and unique to the
community. This adds value to products
and leads to increased sales and income
generation for producers in the
community.
- Goal 10: Reduce
inequality by allowing everyone in the
community to participate in this project
equally, especially creating
opportunities for low-income earners and
groups that lack access to economic
development, so that they can use the
knowledge they have gained to further
develop and develop their own
potential.
