On January 22,
2026, the Faculty of Fine and Applied
Arts organized a community product
development project to promote sales in
the communities around Samsen Road,
Bangkok. The project activity involved
creating products from palm leaves. The
instructors were lecturers from the
Visual Communication Design program. It
was held at the Tapi Building, Ban Yuan
Samsen Community, Bangkok.
This
project aligns with SDG 1: Eradicating
Poverty, as it aims to improve the
income and quality of life of people in
the community by developing community
products with added value and
marketability; SDG 4: Quality Education,
as the activity transferred knowledge
and developed practical skills to
community members through hands-on
learning, fostering understanding of the
production process and enabling them to
apply this knowledge to create
vocational skills; and SDG 8: Decent
Employment and Economic Growth, because
the transfer of skills in producing
souvenirs from velvet wire can be
further developed into a primary
occupation or supplementary income for
the community, resulting in job
creation, income generation, and the
growth of the grassroots
economy.
